Deep monthly cleaning: the heaviest parts of your kitchen under control

The deepest layer of cleaning, only once a month, with Timlup.

The monthly cadence is part of the Pro/Essential paid plan. It covers the heavy stuff: defrosting, moving equipment, walls, ceilings, accessible ducts, pests and drains. Each task is signed with a PIN and everything is recorded in the manager's dashboard.

The cleaning that can't wait another month

What does the deep monthly cleaning include?

In a professional kitchen, tasks are organised by frequency. Daily cleaning covers surfaces, floors and what's visible; weekly adds hoods, filters, fryers and chillers in depth. But deep monthly cleaning is the heaviest layer: full defrost of freezers, moving equipment to clean behind and underneath, walls, ceilings, tiles, accessible extraction ducts, pest checks and drains. It only happens once a month, but it's essential.

This monthly cadence is available on the paid Pro/Essential plan. Timlup automatically triggers the task list on the 1st of each month. Each operator completes and signs each task with a PIN, and the manager sees it all on the dashboard. No paper, no omissions.

Professional cleaning of the extraction ducts must be carried out by a specialised company (usually annually, as required by regulations and insurance). Timlup lets you document when that external cleaning was done and when the company visited, but it does not replace or certify it. It is a recording tool, not a compliance certificate.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about deep monthly kitchen cleaning

Frequency, differences, ducts, payment plan and recording.

How often is the deep monthly cleaning done?
Once a month. It is the deepest layer of the cleaning plan: full defrost of freezers, moving equipment to clean behind and underneath, walls, ceilings, tiles, accessible ducts, drains and pest checks.
What is the difference from daily and weekly cleaning?
Daily covers the visible routine (worktops, floors, sinks). Weekly includes hoods, filters, fryers and chillers. Deep monthly is the heaviest: defrosting, moving equipment, walls, ceilings and accessible ducts. All three layers together form a complete plan.
Who cleans the extraction ducts? Does Timlup do it?
The certified professional cleaning of extraction ducts is carried out by a specialised company, usually once a year (required). Timlup does not replace it, but it lets you record when it was done and schedule the monthly internal cleaning of accessible parts.
Is the monthly cleaning included in the free Timlup plan?
No. The free plan includes daily and weekly cadences. The monthly (and annual) cadence is part of the paid Pro/Essential plan. With it, Timlup automatically triggers the list on the 1st of each month.
Is this record useful for HACCP or an inspection?
Yes, it helps document your cleaning and disinfection schedule (C&D). It does not certify, but keeping records for at least one year is recommended under Regulation (EC) 852/2004. Timlup makes that traceability easier.
How long does the complete deep monthly cleaning take?
It depends on the size of the kitchen, but it usually takes several hours. Expect around 7 to 8 hours of work across all blocks. Ideally spread it among the team and use Timlup to assign and record each part.
