About Timlup: the person behind the product
Timlup is a web tool for recurring task lists, built for businesses with daily operations: restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, bakeries, shops, gyms, hair salons, auto repair shops and cleaning companies. It comes from direct experience with these businesses, not from an office.
It was founded by John Guerrero, who has spent more than 15 years digitising processes in these kinds of businesses. From Madrid, and alongside other projects like ChefBusiness, AI Chef Pro, GastroSEO and Hosply, Timlup exists to make the daily task sheet something other than a paper that gets soaked or an Excel no one fills in. The goal is for the person in charge to always know what's been done and what hasn't.
You can see how this works trade by trade in the checklists by sector and in the problems Timlup solves.
The chaos of paper and WhatsApp
In many businesses, the task sheet is still a piece of paper that gets wet in the kitchen or lost at the till. The Excel someone set up with good intentions ends up empty because no one fills it in. And the WhatsApp group becomes an endless thread of instructions that get forgotten. The person in charge doesn't know if the opening, closing or cleaning was actually done.
That's why something else was needed: a tool that employees use without friction, that records evidence of what's been done, and that gives the person in charge a clear view of what was completed and what wasn't. Timlup was built for that: to make the task sheet digital, with its own time slot, photos and a traffic-light system that shows the status of each list. No complicated accounts, nothing to install, just a simple 4-digit PIN.
Three principles that guide us
Built for the front line
The person at the counter or in the kitchen has no time to learn a new program. That's why employees work through their lists on a mobile or tablet, with a 4-digit PIN, no account or password needed.
Telling the truth
We say what the product does and what it doesn't. We don't promise features that don't exist: anything on the way is labelled "coming soon". And we are not an approved HACCP system: we help you document what your business decides to record, without replacing your consultant.
Built with real businesses
Timlup is built by listening to the people who use it every day, in Spain and the Dominican Republic. It wasn't born in a lab, but out of a real need for control and order.
John Guerrero, the founder
I have spent years working with the day-to-day operations of businesses and digitising them. Through ChefBusiness, AI Chef Pro, GastroSEO and Hosply, I've seen first-hand how businesses lose hours and money because they don't have a clear handle on their daily tasks. Timlup was born from that experience: it's not a lab invention, but a response to what owners were asking me for. They wanted something their employees would actually use, without excuses, and that would give them peace of mind. That's what I build every day.
