Have you ever wondered how Timlup decides which checklists are due today? We’ll tell you: the day’s checklists are generated automatically, but you also have control to force them. Here’s how the whole process works and what can cause a day to have no checklist.

The automatic generation

Every night at 00:00, Timlup gets to work. The day’s checklists are generated automatically at midnight, in each location’s local time. Don’t worry about time zones: if you have a location in the Canary Islands and another in Madrid, each will have its checklists ready at its own midnight.

Also, here’s a detail you’ll love: if you publish a new checklist with tasks, its HOY (Today) checklist is created on the spot. No need to wait until tomorrow to see it in action. You publish it and it’s immediately available to the team.

Need the checklists before midnight? No problem. In Listas (Lists) you’ll find the «Generar listas de hoy» (Generate today’s checklists) button. It’s used to force manual generation. It’s completely safe to press it several times: tasks and checklists won’t be duplicated. If you need it, use it without fear.

Why a checklist may not be generated

Sometimes, when you arrive at the location, you find that a checklist isn’t there. Before you jump, breathe. These are the usual reasons:

• The checklist is in draft or archived. If it’s not published, it doesn’t generate a day’s checklist.
• It’s not due today. The checklist follows a recurrence and today isn’t within its schedule. Check its configuration.
• The location is closed. If the location is marked as closed today, simple daily and weekly checklists respect that closure and aren’t generated.
• The checklist is empty. A checklist without tasks doesn’t generate a day’s checklist. It makes no sense for employees to see it empty.
