Sharing your account with another person
Invite someone you trust (or your accounting firm) to log in to your account with their own username, and switch accounts using the switcher.
Updated on
Sharing your Timlup account with a trusted person or your accountant is simple and secure. Here’s how to invite, accept, and switch accounts with the switcher.
Inviting to your account
Only the Owner or an Administrator can invite someone. The invitation is sent by email and includes a link to accept it.
- Go to Compartir cuenta (Share account).
- Enter the person’s email.
- Choose the access level.
- Send the invitation.
The invitation expires after 7 days. If you send a new invitation to the same email, the previous pending one is canceled.
The two access levels
When inviting, you choose one of these two levels:
| Level | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Operación (sin facturación) (Operation (no billing)) | The day-to-day of the account. |
| Gestión completa (con facturación) (Full management (with billing)) | Also manage the plan and billing. |
Accepting an invitation
To accept an invitation, you need your own Timlup account. The free one is enough, but it must be created with the same email that received the invitation.
- Create or log in to your Timlup account with that email.
- Open the link you received by email.
- Accept the invitation.
The account switcher
Once access is granted, the account switcher appears in the panel. Use it to switch between your own account and the shared one.
You can also request access to another account. The other party always approves or rejects it from their panel.
Revoking or leaving
Both sides can revoke access whenever they want. If you are the one inviting, go to Compartir cuenta and revoke access. If you are the one invited, you can also leave whenever you want.
Remember: the Compartir cuenta screen always manages your home account, even if you are currently browsing within a shared account.
